Patched!
2009/01/21 00:14:33 GMT+0Woho! My first network point has been patched and is connected to the switch.
The Lucent patch panel threw me for a while, until I stuck it on a meter and discovered that it was not supposed to be wired to cat5 standard. (Instead it's wired by pair, and not any order of pair that I'd have been able to guess.)
So, now I have to network points working in the guest bedroom, next up - the rest of the house, 24 points...
